Produkt beskrivelse
The Amarna Period, which spanned the two decades from c. 1365 to 1345 BC, saw the creation of some of ancient Egypt´s finest and most famous works of art. The Glyptotek has a modest but excellent collection of these, which are presented together for the first time in this catalogue.
A brief introduction gives the reader an outline of the Amarna Period´s history, religion and art. This is followed by a detailed description of the exhibited works, each of which is illustrated by one or more excellent colour pictures taken by the photographer Ole Haupt.
The numerous colour illustrations make it possible to ´visit the exhibition´ from the comfort of one's armchair at home.
